Environmental ethics is that branch of philosophy that deals with the relation of human ethics and the natural environment. It covers many areas of concerns like depletion of natural resources, dwindling plant and animal biodiversity, climate change, degradation of biodiversity etc. Environmental ethics came into existence in 1970s when people started noticing the harmful effect of industrial revolution, economic expansion and population growth were having on the environment.
