You are the president of a students’society that organizes various events at Ghulam IshaqKhan Institute of Engineering and technology. Two monthsback,you were assigned a task to arrange a Job Fair in the Institute by the Rector and a deadline of four months was provided to you. You have been working on the project for the past one month andthe Institute’sAdministration has advised you to submit a progress report that elucidates your progress so far.Write a progress report to the rector letting him know about your progress. You should enlist the deliverables that have been achieved so far and the onesthat are yet to be achieved.You may also mention the problems that you are facingin achieving your targets.You are required to follow the format of the progress report. Do not include a title page, Table of contents or an executive summary.You are required to start your report from the introduction section. Try to be as brief as possible.
This assessment will describe the progress report for the arrangement of a job fair in the Institute:
1. Achieved deliverables: The society has made the deliverables of arranging the logistics for the job fair, date, time, location, and other things that have got organized and planned. Space and furniture required, and all other such materials have got arranged and reserved. Moreover, the society also has contacted various engineering firm's Human Resource Departments to promote the event. Some have replied, some are yet to confirm.
2. Deliverables yet to achieve:
The work left for the students' society is to recruit the attendees of the job fair.
The society is yet to advertise for finding the job seekers.
They have to spread out some marketing events for promoting the fair and recruit the appropriate attendees for a job fair.
Moreover, some extra works like designing and preparing the name tax for employers and employees and preparing checking tables, et Cetra are yet to cover.
3.Problems the society is facing in preparation:
The society faced a problem of finding appropriate employers or the engineering firms for contacting for recruitment.
Moreover, the human resource directors or hiring managers are not taking much interest in the fair because of inadequate communication and interaction.
Moreover, the society is also facing the problem of deciding, and selecting the appropriate attend is for the job fair and spreading marketing events for promoting the fair.
