As early childhood is the most
important life stages of individuals that lays foundation for the
future ahead, it is important to provide good quality education at
this stage. Moreover, the increasing diversity of the young
children as they different backgrounds as culture, economy or
social has its own challenges for childhood educators. Some of the
challenges are as following:
- Providing quality care: The utmost
important consideration for young children in a childhood educator
should be providing quality care that fosters the optimal
cognitive, social, physical and emotional development.
- No child left behind: No child left
behind is another challenge that requires full focus of the child
educators. Its the responsibility of the educators to cater to the
educational needs of the children and ensuring that no child is
left behind keeping in consideration their diverse background.
- Giving importance to the phase of
childhood: It important to have an understanding that childhood
plays an important role in each individuals life. Hence, educators
must address and take appropriate measures to ensure a healthy
environment for children. They must address the unique issues faced
by the children due to their diverse backgrounds.
- Respecting child's cultural
background and creating respect in child towards their cultural
identity: This is yet another challenge faced by the childhood
educators. The cultural diversity of each child should be respected
by the educators, but, also they should be able to create a sense
of pride in the young minds towards their ethinic background to
ensure a healthy socialization among them.
