FUNCTIONS OF AMYGDALA
1.Plays an important role in detection of fear
2.Helps in preparing emergency events
3.Aggression control
4.Helps to store memories and emotion of past events that have already occurred and helps to recollect the memory in similar events occurring in the future. For example, fear of dogs once u have experienced bite from a dog.
5.plays a vital role in libido and sexual activity.
FUNCTIONS OF HIPPOCAMPUS
1.Vital part of brain for learning and memory formation. To identify the relationship between what we have learned.
2.plays an important role in regulation of emotion.
3.Helps to provide motivation to do things.
4.Have a role in autonomic activity.
5. Important role in spatial memory. That is, to be aware of relation between 2 things and to keep track of where things are.
6.Role in mediating rage and aggression
7. It shows some link with hypothalamus and involved in regulation of hormones.
