In your initial post, choose one manufacturing company (e.g., Boeing, Nike, and Ford) and one large retail company (e.g., Walmart, Walgreens, Amazon). Analyze the differences in the supply chain organizational environments (e.g., customers, stakeholders, business operations, etc.).
Ford: Amazon
The supplychain of ford as an atuombile manufacturer is different from Amazon. For customers forrd supply their products through direct distributors across global and they will take direct orders from corporates for bigger value of sales. At the same time Amazon is a market place where vendors from different regions will sell their products to customers. For customer Amazon use hUb and spoke model for distribution of goods.
Stakeholder: For Ford majpor stakeholders are their investors , vendors ( who are OEM part manufactuers, maintenance spare part manufactuers), oher service providers and logistics partners. For amazon their major stakehodlers are their sellers and investors for all ther innovation. Amazon currently investing a lot in route optimisation and data analytics.
Business operations: Amazon having continous demand for their products as they have wide variety of products in their bucket. But Ford there will be seasonality for their product and business operations is more rigid. E commerce is more technically driven and thus Amazon strategies are based upon the immediate requirement and competitions. Both firms have strong visions about quality of product and customer satisfaction.
