The barriers which I think prevents individual from blowing the whistle are as follows:
1. Fear of retaliation - Individual always have the fear of retaliation or revenge. This might leads to the minor harrasment during the work in company. It may be severe too. Such as blacklisting of employees, conduct corrective investigation, removal of employees etc to be done when found a person is whistle blower.
2. Legal barriers:
a. Duty of loyalty and confidenciality.
b. Secret acts
c. Libel
3. Cultural barriers: The society makes the wishtel blower disloyal. They are sneakers or informers.
So many actions are unsuccessful because the whistle blowers become common in workplaces. They sometimes helps the organization to gets the other company report. The whistle blowers are the individuals which have either the habbit of getting information and spread the information. The actions are unsuccessful in case of whistle blowers. In order to rewrite policy or laws to encourage transparency and honesty that might encourage individuals to come forward about corporate illegalities or abuses, we need to implement a tracking system, team of supervision and the inspection. These would help in the finding of whistle blowers in the corporate among individuals.
