Recruiting is an important part of human resource management. You are the owner of a manufacturing business that operates in multiple countries. A position for a global marketing manager has just opened up. Many of the other managers at your company feel like this is a good opportunity for promoting someone within the company (internal hire). But you question this approach because you aren't sure if this is the best way to go because you aren’t sure if any of the existing managers are truly qualified for this position. It is true that Recruitment is one of the important function of Human resource management. However it can also be said that it is one of the complicated task for human resource manager to sucessfully, identify, attract and select the most competent applicant. The manager has a choice whether to recruit internally or externally and both the aspects have their own pros and cons which are stated below.
