You are working for a US-based company and have been tasked with integrating an acquisition in Japan (based in Osaka). Prior to this acquisition your company had only a representative office based in Tokyo. What are the four key elements of Human Relations Management and for each element list at least one criterion relevant to your firm’s future success in this marketplace. Where would you establish the administrative offices for the acquired company (explain the rationale for your decision).
The four key elements in the human relations management is
(i) Acquisition of human resources:In this there are two steps in it by which the company would acquire its first key in the selection and recruitment process and the company would benefit with the relevant skilled people from the place of recruitment.Hence the new roles would be filled with proper decisions with selection taking place at the place where the company is going to situated.(ii) Development of human resources:This is in line after the recruitment and the selection process are completed. This will help them to be trained and equiped with skills required to do the work which will help the organisation to achieve bettter and make a name in the market and achieve the organisational goal(iii) Motivation of Human Resource’s and:This plays the major role as after the training the employees have to be motivated and should be encouraged to do more and hence they should offer some good compensation and benefit packages.(iv) Maintenance of Human Resource’s:This is the last phase of HRM functions and to maintain it they should provide a safe and healthy work place with more collaborations. The company’s administrative functions would be at the place where its acquired at and this would be at Tokyo because there is already very less functional office at Tokyo but with this coming in there would be more expansion for the related works for this new acquired company in terms of communication, space requirements etc related to the new setup.
