You have just started work at an aircraft engineering company and have been tasked with a complex engine change on the aircraft.

What kind on negative reactions could this cause in you? And what could you do to reduce these negative reactions?

Whenever we start doing any work for first time there is some anxiety and nervous happens. I just started work at aircraft engineering company and I am little curious and nervous about the future happiness to my work and within no time i have given a complex engine change task which will create a typical fear and nervous feel because I am new to the work and i am less experienced in doing this task. And the task is complex so its questions my knowledge in this task and i feel doubtful about the selection method of fixing and required tool that are known to me are there in the workshop or not. Because this is the first encounter with this type of task i feel is the knowledge i have will solely complete this task or may I require any additional support from the experienced staff or from some source. Based on the complexity i encounter during the fixing i may loose my confidence and lack of confidence leads to negative thoughts.The complexity of the task will worsen my confidence further if i am unable in completing the sequencing steps in fixing. Aircraft engines are larger in shape and size which requires a special mechanism to lift and move the engine and its components, as a new worker i may unaware of this mechanism and method of operation this creates a panic situation.

To reduce negative reactions i must be confident about my knowledge and capacity in doing work.by remembering the previous tasks that are done good will bring confidence to me. By asking the other experienced staff and workman i can reduce the fear that is happening because of unawareness of company methods and mechanisms. Getting suggestions from experienced workers will make a way of doing it in a better way. To reduce all the fear and panic i must be confident about my skills.

To reduce all these negative reactions i must be confident and conscious about my steps and taking inputs from experienced will reduce first time fears. Making complex task to small individual tasks will get the work done in most efficient and effective.
