Hybrid Additive manufacturing is a process in which we use subtractive and additive processes together to produce a part. Explain how this process can beat AM in terms of part quality.

Solutions

Expert Solution

Hybrid additive manufacturing uses additive manufacturing to build a component and then uses subtractive manufacturing( lathe or CNC, turning or milling) to bring the object under desired tolerance limit. So it offers the advantage of better tolerance limit than additive manufacturing.

Hybrid manufacturing has better and higher deposition rate, hence the speed of production increase without any compromise in quality of the product.

The retrofitting in hybrid manufacturing is larger than that of simple additive manufacturing, so a large and complex product can be manufactured using hybrid technology.

The product developed using hybrid technology has higher factor of safety and smaller product cycle than additive manufacturing.

The literature on attribution processes identifies a number of "biases" in the processes by which we perceive other persons. How do these biases influence the impressions we form of others as we interact with them? In particular, to what extent and in what ways do these biases influence our perceptions of the identities and goals of those with whom we interact?  What are some possible explanations for the existence of these biases?
