The data you will analyse is distribution zone substation data collected for the financial years 2005 to 2017. It is available at https://cloudstor.aarnet.edu.au/plus/s/3Ffy7Qq3ps3i3vj with password ELEC2103#Assignment.

1. Write a sub-routine to load some or all of the Ausgrid distribution zone substation data into a useable format in MATLAB.

2. Write a sub-routine to analyse the data in MATLAB by modelling/fitting it, using regression, classification, ANOVA or other machine learning methods. You may wish to pre-process the data in order to extract some interesting values or variables of merit (e.g. compute daily loads, extract monthly peak loads, etc). Briefly explain your model.

3. Write a sub-routine that makes some assessment of the statistical errors or goodness-offit of your model and returns or prints them in your report. Explain these figures.

4. Make appropriate use of plots and/or charts in your report.

5. In your main script, include a call to at least one custom function that you have written in a separate m-file.

Market research can be categorized into two major categories namely primary and secondary research.

Primary research is the one which provides direct feedback/opinion of the population that needs to be analyzed. It is the research which undergoes first-hand data. This is because the reliability and validity of primary data is more which makes the conclusions more accurate. However, the reliability and validity are subject to the research ethics being followed properly.

The examples of primary data collection methods are:

Survey

Personal interview

Observations

Secondary research is the one which is not based on primary data. It is the data that is taken from various sources such as company’s website, newspapers, and other sources. The reliability of this data is subjected to the accuracy of the source from where it is taken.

Some examples of secondary sources are:

Already existing research works

Magazines

Newspapers

Given: Assume you have collected data from 150 subjects, and that the distribution of the data is a "normal" distribution. The mean of the scores is 37, with a standard deviation of 4.5. Using the given information, calculate the 68% confidence interval. A confidence interval represents a range of values, the lowest value is references as the "lower bound", the highest value is referenced as the "upper bound". Determine the lower and upper bounds for the 68% confidence interval. Round...
