V1/T1 = V2/T2

a) V1 = 755ml

T1 = 435°C

V2 = 1.15pints

Now, 1 pint(liquid) = 473.18ml

So, 1.15pints = 1.15*473.18ml = 544.16ml

T2 = ?

So, using Charles law

V1/T1 = V2/T2

Keeping the values,

755ml/435°C = 544.16ml/T2

T2 = 544.16ml*435°C / 755ml = 313.5°C

Temperature in Kelvin,

313.5°C = 313.5 + 273.15K = 586.7K

(b) V1 = ?

T1 = 344K

V2 = 353in3

T2 = -13°F

Now to convert Fahrenheit to Kelvin, we must use the formula,

Tk = (Tf + 459.67) * 5/9

= (-13 + 459.67) * 5/9

= 446.67*5/9
