. You must use Excel (submit either a pdf, word or Excel file only).
. You must identify the 5 steps (you must address each in detail).
Problem: Use the given data to complete a t-test using Excel.

Step1 : first enter the observation ofsample first in column 1 and second in colunm.
step2: click on tools and then data analysis.
step3: select
t test two sample for means assuming in equal variance. |
step4 : click on ok then select array1 of outcomes for group 1 for variable 1, and array2 of outcomes for group 1 for variable 2.
step5: we will get the ouput
ttest= -2.3205
or
Step1 : first enter the observation ofsample first in column 1 and second in colunm2.
step2: click on data select t test
step3: select empty cell and type
=t.test(array1,array2,mode,type) |
where array1= select the data points with respect to variable 1,
array2= select the data points with respect to variable 2, mode=2 i.e two sided hypothesis,
type= t test two sample for means assuming in equal variance.
step4: we will get the pvalue ouput
pvalue= 0.03384.
step6: here pvalue,0.05, so we reject null hypothesis and conclude that the both means are different.
also we fimd the crical value, tcrical = it can be calculated from table just seeing the value n=16 and probability=0.05 we get critical value= -2.12
here ttest>ttable,so we reject null hypothesis and conclude that the both means are different.
