Oldowan and Achulean tools are the oldest versions of stone tools. They had their flakes removed from the edges, creating a sharpened edge. Mousterian tools are technocomplex of stone tools. Both Mousterian and Oldowan and Achulean tools are stone tools.
Upper paleolithic stone tools were primarily blade based technology. These blades are stone pieces that are twice as long as they are wide and have parallel sides. They were used to create new tools for specific purposes. The upper paleolithic and Mousterian tools are still tools made from stone. But they differ greatly on the technological advancement in tool production.
