Determine the coordinate direction angles of F1.

Determine the coordinate direction angles of F1.

Solutions

Expert Solution

here , for the force F1

Components of F1 are

F1x = - F1 * cos(60) * sin(45)

F1x = -0.3536 * F1

F1y = F1 * cos(60) * cos(45)

F1y = 0.3536 * F1

F1z = F1 * sin(60)

F1z = 0.866 * F1

Now, for corrdinate angles ,

alpha = arccos(F1x/F1)

alpha = arccos(-0.3536)

alpha = 110.7 degree

the angle with x - axis is 110.7 degree

beta = arcos(F1y/F1) = arccos(0.3536)

beta = 69.3 degree

the angle with y axis is 69.3 degree

gamma = arccos(0.866*F1/F1)

gamma = 30 degree

the angle with z - axis is 30 degree
