For this assignment, I am developing the presentation I must present to management to sell my strategy idea and plan. This is for the company FedEx.

What are the strategy changes or alternatives you recommend for the company?

Why did you select these strategy alternatives (business case)?

How will you implement your plan? Proposed timing.

What are the predicted outcomes and expected measures?

Solutions

Expert Solution

FedEx is widely known for its lightning-fast and just in time delivery.

1) Strategy changes or alternatives recommendation

Strategic changes happen, but managing that change and converting it to your advantage is more crucial.

* Be more realistic - FedEx needs to be more realistic and should stand on its word that is if FedEx says it will deliver in just time then it should be. but many of the cases, many customers rated it badly for not delivering in time.

* Switch to driverless delivery - Adding a strategy like delivering items without a driver can be more efficient and more economically good for the company. moreover, this will reduce the bad traffic line, as the drone will come handy it will be easier in the delivery process.

* Eco-friendly trucks - This option looks odd but if you will think more visionary its the best strategic change for the FedEx. If there will be more electric vehicles or eco-friendly vehicles there will be less pollution donated by FedEx to its country, and it will passively help in fighting climate change.

2) Why selecting these strategy alternatives:

* The above listed strategic changes are the vision of FedEx. So measuring the technology some can be acquired in a short period of time but there are few which cant be acquired for a long period of time.

* By selecting these strategies FedEx will jump far from its competitors.

* By selecting these strategies FedEx will be more ecofriendly company than any other competitor company because of its vast reach and multinational model of delivering.

3) Implementing plan:

* Building team: building a team that is solely responsible for the upgradation of strategic thinking. and applying the above-mentioned plan. A responsible team can perform genuinely and will come handy in implementing the plan.

* Securing resources: As the company changes its strategy, the company needs extra resources for the plan to be implemented.

4) Predicted outcomes and expected measures:

* Cost-efficient - The strategic change or the plan implementation will act passively and will make company more cost-efficient. and financially strong in the marketplace.

* Ecofriendly - Implementing plans of adding drones or switching to driverless vehicles can be more ecofriendly.

* Ease delivery - strategic shifting to be more realistic in terms of fast delivery can be fruitful and will raise the honor of the company and also attracts more valuable customers.

CONCLUSION

FedEx is always known for its real-time delivery. but following the new strategic alternatives will help the company in reaching out to its customers more realistic and more enthusiastic.

Thank you
