A marketing firm is hired to assess customer satisfaction across different car models. The firm sends out a survey to new car owners of four new car models. The survey assesses owner satisfaction with the new car on a scale of 1 to 7 (7 = very satisfied with the new car). Make the assignment interesting and name these new cars! Can we draw any conclusions about customer satisfaction of these four different car models?

a. Describe the statistical test to be done.
b. State the null and alternative hypotheses.
c. What is the critical value of the test statistic? What is the decision rule for rejecting the null hypothesis? Draw the picture of the rejection region.
CV: _________________________
Reject H0 if F _____________________
d. Paste in SPSS output below, circling the observed value of the test statistic. Also show your work for eta2 and a Tukey test, if necessary.
e. Write out an APA Style conclusion about the research project. Use the context of the study in your answer!
a) One way ANOVA
b) NULL HYPOTHESIS H0:
ALTERNATIVE HYPOTHESIS Ha:
c) Critical value = 3.01
Reject H0 if F > 3.01
d)
Partial eta2 = SSeffect / SSeffect + SSerror.
= 16.714/32.429
= 0.515
e) Since Fcal is greater than F critical value therefore REJECT H0. We have sufficient evidence to conclude that there is mean difference in means.
Also from Tuckey's test Car 1 satisfaction score is different from car 3 , car 2 satisfaction scores different from car 3 and car 4.
