1. Dimention placement in multiview drawings

2. General arrangement of dimensions in multuview drawings

3. Dimension system

Solutions

Expert Solution

Dimension system

Dimension system is used for defining and communicating Engineering tolerances It uses a symbolic language on engineering drawing and computer-generated three-dimensional solid models that explicitly describes nominal geometry and its allowable variation. It tells the manufacturing staff and machines what degree of accuracy and precision is needed on each controlled feature of the part. Dimension system is used to define the nominal (theoretically perfect) geometry of parts and assemblies, to define the allowable variation in form and possible size of individual features, and to define the allowable variation between features.

·         Dimensioning specifications define the nominal, as-modelled or as-intended geometry. One example is a basic dimension.

·         tolerance specifications define the allowable variation for the form and possibly the size of individual features, and the allowable variation in orientation and location between features.

The speed of a water wave is described by v= (gd)^(1/2)  where d is the water depth, assumed to be small compared to the wavelength. Because their speed changes, water waves refract when moving into a region of different depth. Suppose waves approach the coast from a storm far away to the north–northeast. Demonstrate that the waves move nearly perpendicular to the shoreline when they reach the beach. Suppose waves approach the coast, carrying energy with uniform density along originally straight...
