Prokaryotes like bacteria propagate by binary fission. In case of unicellular organisms, cell division is thethe method seemed to be mostly to produce new individuals. What ever be the prokaryote or eukaryote cells, the outcome of cell reproduction is a pair of daughter cellscells. That daughter cells are genetically identical to the parent cell. In unicellular organisms, daughter cells are individuals.

To achieve the outcome of identical daughter cells, the genomic DNA must be replicated and then allocated into the daughter cells; the cytoplasmic contents of parent cell must also be present in both new cells, the machinery to sustain life. In bacterial cells, the genome consists of a single, circular DNA chromosome; therefore, the process of cell division is simplified.

Binary Fission

Binary fission is the process of prokaryotes in a prokaryote cell having less complicated and much quicker process than cell division in eukaryotes. Due to the high speed of bacterial cell division, bacteria populations can grow very rapidly.

Purpose of this differentiation is to producing the daughter cells which have the all thd properties of the parent cell. Exact duplication of parent cell will be take place.
