A counselor's job is not only to help the patients overcome their problems but they need to focus on the aspect of performance improvement as well by monioring treatment results. By conducting a detailed analysis of treatment results,the counselor would get to know how far they have been successfull in helping the client in dealing with their problems.
Talking with clients in order to get feedback about the treatment results helps the counselor in improving their performance and rectify any mistakes they might have committed.Also modifications can be made in the treatment process to better the results and performance and effective counseling process.
Counselors need to consider how they can integrate commonsense performance improvement into their daily treatment activities. Some of them may not realize that they probably are collecting data already that can be used to conduct performance improvement.
Monitoring results and Performance improvement can help the counselors to use objective information to improve outcomes continually by identifying opportunities for improvement and making any testing innovations.
Monitoring is also required to see whether the treatment has not just influenced clients' problems in question but also positively influenced other areas of their lives and improved their quality of lives.
Client satisfaction with the counseling process also needs to be known by counselor for which they need to consistently monitor the results.
