Expert Solution

Team composition refers to the general combination of characteristics between people in a group, a unit of two or more individuals interacting with each other to achieve common goals. It is based on attributes among the people who make up the group in addition to their main purpose. The composition of the group is usually all the same, all members being the same or hereditary, with all members of the group being remarkably different. It was also identified as an important factor influencing team performance. It takes into account the individual qualities of team members (i.e. skills, experience and abilities) and how these contributions can be combined to determine the overall outcome of team work. Over the past decade, research on group effectiveness has grown as groups have become more common in all types of organizations. The research conducted on this topic focused on the overall characteristics of membership, member differences, and group size in terms of group composition. The style in which the team is installed has a huge impact on the performance in the team and the results the team receives. The main outcomes related to team work can be classified as a set of outcomes (quality / specificity of work performed, etc.), member's internal results (teamwork, etc.) and behavioral outcomes.
