Solution

Yes the gender discrimination still exists between women and men in terms of wages. Some of the arguments they give for conclusion are :

1.Most of them state that the Negotiating skills for the wages of women are lower than that of men so ultimately they land up in working for lower wages when compared to men.

2.Most of the women think that they do not deserve the same wages as their male counterparts as they believe that they are not the main breadwinners of their families.

3.Most women also think that apart from their career they have much larger role to play at their family life then their spouses,so they are ready to settle for lower prices.

4.Most women prefer job stability rather than growth in compensation due to different reasons like they have to settle to lower wages as a pay-off to receive the leaves they might require like maternity leaves etc.,

When many people hear the word discrimination, they immediately think of race or gender discrimination which is illegal in the USA. Price discrimination, however, is legal and has nothing to do with race or gender. By definition: Charging different people different prices is legal as long as it does not use other forms of discrimination as the basis of the pricing model. Please note that prices must be made available for all to see and no two individuals making a...

The University of Calgary administrators are trying to determine the gender earnings gap in order to `compensate' women who are underpaid. In the empirical analyses that follow, the following variables are defined as: Y - Log earnings F - female indicator Age - age of...
