The disadvantages of outsourcing start with the fact that a freelance IT contractor can command a much higher hourly rate than an in-house operative. It can also be both difficult and time-consuming to find someone with the right skills at the right level who is also trustworthy, affordable, and available when needed. Building up an in-house IT team means that they can be trained to the company’s specific needs, and they will always be available when needed. This can be especially invaluable when an emergency arises, such as a security breach. In such a case there is no time to look for a specialist, call them and be told they can fit you in next Monday. The situation needs to be locked down immediately, and the damage dealt with.

The evolution of the smartphone saw communication equipment that was designed for business use quickly transform into smaller and smaller consumer devices. The BlackBerry was the desired phone for busy executives, and then in 2007 Apple introduced the first iPhone. These phones, and the many apps that soon followed, changed the way we communicate, do business, entertain ourselves, socially interact with others, and learn. Technology has long been a driver of economic development throughout the world, but it is only recently that mobile technology – and smartphones in particular – have been significant economic factors. One reason is that much of the manufacturing of the phones themselves is performed overseas. According to a major report conducted by GSMA, the mobile economy contributed an estimated $2.4 trillion to the international economy in 2013, representing about 3.6% of global gross domestic product. This number includes more than 10 million jobs created and contributed at least $336 billion to public funding in the United States alone. Not only that, but the size of the mobile economy is growing at an aggressive pace, with estimates that it could contribute as much as 5.1% to global GDP by 2020.

In order to create a weighted model since it uses key elements needed to measure vendor in order to figure out the best potential vendor based. So key features and elements are assessed. Each is given some weighted factors according to priority in business. So yes, it is a subjective guess.
