Maintenance is a critical take that every company needs to undertake to improve its efficiency by maintaining the company's machines and tools that help in manufacturing In the right condition. Technicians should be appointed to update and repair the machines regularly. Regular maintenance also helps in reducing the cost of production.

The time taken to improve and maintain the machines have two parts:-

1) Uptime:- Uptime is a time in which a machine or a computer is functioning at high speed and consider as a reliable time. It is the best time where machines work very efficiently, and work gets done very quickly.

2) Downtime:- Downtime is any event that happens suddenly, and it can hinder the company's production and functioning. It can stop the production for an amount of time. It can be anything like poor maintenance, software problem, hardware problem, or anything that can hinder the company's production and work.
