For what situations would the Firo-B assessment be most appropriate or applicable for? How is this similar and different from the CPI assessment?
Firo-B assessment can reveal a lot about the behaviour of the person and can also help him to better understand the behaviour of people around him. It can reveal the ways in which the preferences and social notions a person has affect the behaviour the person has towards their peers in any social situation. These behavours are related to the ways in which the individual interacts with others and how he directs his conversations in social situations.
Firo-B assessment is in some ways different and in some ways
similar to the CPI assessment. They are similar and different in
the insights that they can give about the individual. Thus, they
are used in different applications. It should be noted that both of
them can be used for applications in Leadership, Coaching, Personal
Development and Changes relating to the behaviour of the
individual.
While Firo-B can be used for behavioral assessments in Teams, CPI
is not recommended for the same. Also, while CPI can be used for
assessment relating to selection and retention, Firo-B cannot be
used for the same.
