what area of the axial skeletal system of a human is the weakest? why?
The area of the axial skeleton which is the weakest is the part of skull. This area consists of joining areas of four different bones and form a H shaped region. The four bones of skull that meet at this point region H are frontal lobe, parietal bone , greater arm of sphenoid bone and squamous portion of temporal bone. They form a suture like H region . This is the weakest region as the area is formed by some continuous, without any muscle or attachment bones and these bones intersect at this point making its rigidity less efficient as compared to the bones itself. It could be said that the particular region has less effective protection area as it is weak, conjoined together with different bones. The more creeks or joints a bone has, the weaker its strength. So the region has not enough strength to take hard hits or any injuries.
