Polypropylene (PP)

Polypropylene Homopolymer (PP Homo)

High Impact Polystyrene (HIPS)

High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE)

Linear Low-Density Polyethylene (LLDPE)

Extruded Nylon (Nylon 6/6)

Glass Fiber (30%) Filled Nylon 6 (GF Nylon 6)

Acrylonitrile-Butadiene-Styrene (ABS)

Which of the above material is reinforced material, and which is not?

Solutions

Expert Solution

Some of the materials are given and need to find that they are reinforced materials or not

a) PolyPropylene is a reinforced material.

Polypropylene's coefficient of thermal expansion is split in two parts with 40% glass reinforcement. Glass fiber reinforced polypropylene, when using a chemical coupling agent, has notably increases tensile and flexural strengths over normal glass reinforced polypropylene.

b) Polypropylene Homopolymer is not a reinforced material.

c) High Impact polystyrene(HIPS)

It is a reinforced material. A long-fiber-reinforced more-impact polystyrene resin structure of at least 3 mm in length is generated .

d) High Desnity Polyethylene

It is a reinforced material. It is reinforced to make the composite materials.

e) Linear Low-Density Polyethylene

It is a treinforced material . It is reinforced to increase the tensile strength.

f) Extruded Nylon

It is also a reinforced material in which is it is used to make the 3D models i.e; 3D prints.

g) GF Nylon 6

it is not a reinforced material.

h )Acrylonitrile-Butadiene-Styrene

It is not a reinforced material. It doesnt improve anything by making reinforced.

1) Water has a high boiling point and low freezing point, high self-cohesion, and lower density in the solid phase than in the liquid phase. All these properties can be attributed to ______________. the ability of water molecules to hydrogen bond with one another repulsion of hydrophobic (nonpolar) solutes by water molecules the ability of water molecules to form covalent bonds with one another the inability of water molecules to interact with amphipathic solutes 2) Based on your knowledge of...

10)Two types of cholesterol transport proteins, low-density lipoproteins (LDL) and high-density lipoproteins (HDL), bind to cholesterol and carry it through the bloodstream. Familial hypercholesterolemia (FH) is characterized by high cholesterol levels in the blood, which can lead to cardiovascular disease. FH is associated with a loss-of-function mutation of a gene that encodes LDL receptors in liver cells. Individuals who are heterozygous produce lower-than-normal amounts of the LDL receptors, and individuals who are homozygous for the mutant allele have no LDL...
