I need a weekly (2-3 paragraphs for one week) accounting internship report which will include; what you did, what you learned and what problem you faced during that week
You should write what you experienced. I can give you a example of mine, hope that will help you to write your interenship report. It covers all aspects you mentioned.
In the start of second week I was much confident than the previous week becausenow I was aware of nature of work. Another reason behind this confidence was that now I knew the culture of this organization up to much extent. Today my supervisor said me to learn about how to negotiate with the vendors for price and discounts from his communication. I listen to his communication very carefully during the whole day and learn many things regarding bargaining during purchase process.
During this second week my supervisor sends me to finance department for the purpose of submission of purchase documents along with invoice and challan etc. all these purchases were made on credit basis and the purpose of submission of these documents was to tell finance department that these purchases have been made and now you have to make payments to all these vendors on due dates. Before going to finance department my supervisor told me that get one photocopy of all these documents and obtain signatures of the person who will receive documents from you. I ask reason, he told me that sometimes people from finance department forgot about documents and said we did not receive any document.Their signatures on these photocopies will be evidence that they receive that particular document. After that I went home on sick leave with the permission of my supervisor.
During the week I also learn from my supervisor about the comparative statement. Comparative statement as clear from name is a statement in which comparison is made. When we receive quotations from different vendors against inquires we putrates of all vendors for a same item in a row and then on rationale basis we decide which vendor is offering us goods on better rates. My supervisor gave me some documents for filing. When I was filing these documents I saw a document namedas GRN. I ask my supervisor about GRN. He told me that it means goods receipt note. When goods are sent to the plant the person who receives goods give description of goods and notify that he receive all these goods in appropriate condition.
