FEDERALISM :

It is a form of combined government. It combines separate state government /regional government with the general government into a single political system. Many countries follow such sysytem in which the national government and the state government share duties and powers.

EXAMPLE :

One such example for federal government is INDIA.

Government of India was established by the Indian constitution. It governs 29 States and 7 union TerritoTerritories.

Indian government follows three tier system. Three tiers of government are Central Government, State Government and panchayats & municipalities.

Powers and duties are distributed among these levels adhering to the articles of Constitution of India .

Thoughts about federalism are;

Federalism is a system to unite and integrate the diverse nation. It helps in maintaining harmony and structured development of nation. Since the power and duties are segregated among provinces , it helps the government to look into individual state and enables growth of easch state inturn growth of nation .
