A simple definition of US foreign policy is the goals, decisions, and actions that govern the nation's relationship with the rest of the world. The primary goals of US foreign policy is to provide security, economic prosperity, and a better world. Note that these are generally always in flux. There are a number of actors that influence US foreign policy. These include 1) formal shapers: the president, Congress, the National Security Council, the State Department, the Department of Defense, the intelligence community (CIA, FBI, etc.), the department of Homeland Security, and so on along with 2) the informal shapers: the public, various interest groups, and the media. Which group or entity is the most significant when it comes to US foreign relations? Why?
According to me,The role of First group or Entity which include (The US president,Congress,The NSC,Intelligence wing etc) is primarilay more important in shaping the US foreign policy with different countries. Because they see various things on the world level which is still unknown for various common people in the country.Setting Foreign relation with any country requires various aspects to have a close watch.
The government and its colaborating bodies work with dedication in maintaning the global ties with different countries because at the global stage. The only thing which matters most is the The Foreign relation between two countries. Currently America is targetting China for this global pandemic along with different countries Such as India,Japan,Australia,UK ,France etc because of thier good Foreign relation with these countries.
The second group which include (The informal shaper,The public,Media etc) also plays a role but they act as a Second fidle in defining the Foreign Policy.
