Patient with borderline personality disorder often cause attention seeking behaviour. Their msin goal is to get attention of staff always towards them. For that they may show some behaviour

fishing for compliments by pointing out achievements and seeking validation
being controversial to provoke a reaction
exaggerating and embellishing stories to gain praise or sympathy
pretending to be unable to do something so someone will teach, help, or watch the attempt to do it

Managing borderline personality disorder patient is a risky one. The patient may produce some sounds or speak loudly about them or about the achievements, it may be due to jelous, low self esteem, loneliness. This may cause attention seeking behaviour in patients. Some may show uncomfortable when not the center of attention provocative or seductive behavior, shallow and shifting emotions, using appearance to draw attention, vague or impressionistic speech, exaggerated or dramatic emotions.

While caring these patient staff should be calm and should have patients, ignore the bad behaviour, early identification of these behavior and treatment help the person from further occurence of mental disorder.
