The Cuban racism is discrimination in racism against the communities of Afro-Cubans (blacks and mulattos) or mixed race. Cuba launched a set of reforms intended for the elimination of racial disparity in education, public spaces, and employment. Castro issued laws on anti-discrimination; and put their best efforts to close the class gap between Afro-Cubans and wealthy white Cubans with a massive campaign on literacy, among other reforms on egalitarian during early and mid-1960s. Castro’s redistributive economic and social reforms had a positive impact on the life's quality for Afro‑Cubans. The great achievements in extending medical benefits and education to all Cubans have narrowed disparities in racism for the matriculation and life expectancy rates. However the racial discrimination in Cuba still continued to be present in the society, in spite of the authority’s effort in the past decades. In the consumption and sending of goods, remittances provide higher economic benefit to white Cuban households. It is still suffering from the legacy of discrimination for centuries followed by silence for decades. Moreover no government had succeeded in eradicating completely all forms of racial discrimination. The racism still exists in Cuba and it is the continuing struggles for Afro-Cubans
