Recent news it was explored that there are 106 underaged child labors are working in different factories of Apple brand in China. Is this news outbreak Apple's chief executive Tim Cook criticized and stated about the extremely rare case. He stepped up with measures to weed out a bad practice like an independent auditor, the Fair Labor Association.
According to him, underage labor is a subject no company wants to be associated with. Jeff Williams, senior vice president of operations at Apple. He vowed to eradicate the practice but said it could take some time.
Strong action has taken against the child labor suppliers and they instructed to do the necessary actions, the children were returned to their families. The employer been instructed to take care of expenses to facilitate their successful return. Overall 95% of the facilities scrutinized by Apple complied with child labor laws, they are been facilitated with education and giving them an income equal to their factory wages.
In overall, the company had taken a lawful step to justify the situation.
