Sensation and perceptions are somewhat inter-related phenomena. Sensation is understood as the inputs about the surrounding or physical world present around us by our sensory organs, whereas perception is the process in which the brain’s function is to select, arrange and interprets the inputs gathered by sensory organs through sensation. On the basis of these definitions, following classifications are being made:
