Compare the cultural differences between the United States and the Netherlands based on the research literature. Which methods of sex education are empirically supported? Do you think that these methods would work in the United States? Why or why not?
Dutch people are more expert in bike riding. Having a bike in Netherland is must condition. Such culture is not so dominant in USA.
Dutch people are habitual of everyday shopping. For dinner, they buy the food items in evening from a grocery store. In USA, people are habitual of shopping on monthly basis. They prefer to shop and store the food item for future needs. Grocery shops are very common in Netherland. This is not the case in USA.
Dutch people are more concerned about their physical space. Dutch person takes doctor consultation very casually. They normally avoid doctor's visit in case of smaller problems like cold, flu etc. People in USA remain more concerned with such medicative visits.
They pay proper attention and follow proper treatment even for minor health problems.
In netherland, sex education is must for students. They keep on learning about sex since the age of four. They are taught so because Dutch leople think that sex is important for trust building. They take it as normal phenomenon and they consider it important for respecting partners.
Sex education is mendatory in Netherland. They take sex on a positive note. This is the reason that teen pregnancy is very less in Netherland. In USA, teen pregnancy is very common.
American students are provided sex education but in more disguised form. Students there take it as an experiment. They remain curious throughout their teenage and in this enthusiasm they create problem for themselves.
Dutch sex education is more empirically supported. These system can easily be implemented in USA. A system needs to be developed on the foundation of basic needs.
USA is country with all facilities. It is a resourceful country. Any better idea can easily be implemented here by sufficient research and inspiring people for a change.
