Part A
For the circuit shown in the figure(Figure 1) find the current through each resistor.
Part B
For the circuit shown in the figure find the potential difference across each resistor.
Resistance of the middle branch
6+ 8*24/32 = 12 ohm
Ressitance of the whole circuit = 4 + 12*24/36 = 12 ohm
Net current in hte circuit = 24/12 = 2 A
Part B
voltage across 4 ohm = 2*4 = 8 V (ans)
current in through 6 ohm ressitance in the middle branch = 2*24/36 = 1.333 A
voltage across 6 ohm = 1.3333*6 = 8 V (ans)
voltage across 24 ohm(right most brnach)= 24 *(2-1.333 ) = 16 V (ans)
voltage across 8 ohm and 24 (middle branch) ohm = 16- 8 = 8 V (ans)
Part A
current through 4 ohm = 2 A(ans)
current through 6 ohm = 1.333 A(ans)
current through 8 ohm = 24*1.3333/32 = 1 A (ans)
current throguh 24 ohm (middle) = 1.3333- 1 = 0.3333 A (ans)
current through 24 ohm (right most branch) = 2-1.333 = 0.667 A (ans)
