For the circuit shown in the figure, find the current through and the potential difference across each resistor.

5ohm and 10 ohm are in series which leads to 15 ohms

6ohm and 4 ohm are in series which leads to 10 ohms
hence
10 ohm and 15 ohm are in parllel therefore
effective resistance = 15*10/(25) = 6 ohms
V= IR
I = 24/6 = 4A
current through 6ohm and 4 ohm is 24/10 = 2.4 A
current through 10 ohm and 5 ohm is 24/15 = 1.6 A
voltage across 6 ohm = 6*2.4 = 14.4 V
voltage across 4 ohm = 4* 2.4 = 9.6 V
voltage across 10 ohms = 10*1.6 = 16 V
voltage across 5 ohms = 5*1.6 = 8V
