Yes this is true that the TATA Group has been able to transfer from strategic leader affiliates to the other affiliates.

Although, TATA has always been known for Ratan Tata involving strategy in leadership with his brilliant strategies description and deep thinking attitude, Tata Groups has evolved and transfer itself from strategic leader affiliates to other affiliates.

For example, the event of 1979 Tata Consultancy Services establishing an office in New York. A strategic leader must be able to identify important market and industry Trends and develop responses accordingly. In this event New York help Tata Consultancy grow in popularity in the US and also allowed for TCS to gain access to insider knowledge across many industries. When TCS would finish any clients projects, consultants were then sent to India, where they shared the idea they had just learnt in New York. Hence, they helped Tata to develop new fsa to response to the upcoming threats.
