CINAHL is the Cumulative Index of Nursing and Allied Health Literature indexes and abstracts articles from nearly 800 nursing, biomedical, and consumer health journals, as well as publications of the American Nurses Association and the National League for Nursing. The CINAHL Database provides indexing for more than 3,075 nursing and allied health journals. CINAHL databases are the most widely-used and respected research tools for nurses, students and allied health professionals around the globe

Four key themes for nursing research are identified. Three of them are related to the following areas: nursing theory development, methodology of nursing research and expertise in advanced nursing. The fourth key theme is professional nursing practice, which is divided into three different domains: (a) nursing phenomena, (b) clinical nursing and (c) diseases and specific fields from the nursing perspective.CINAHL Plus provides a list of theories, methodology and most importantly professional nursing practises and experiences which are key elements that help in a research. As they provide a large number of examples(quantitative) and examples (qualitative) the research becomes more accurate. It also helps in the comparison of different scenarios amd taking into consideration the best possible outcome of the situation, which helps the nurses deal with those problems in future in the best way. As the Reference is a vital part in a research and is to be solid, CINAHL Plus provides what is necessary in their database.

Psychiatric mental health registered nurses work with individuals, families, groups, and communities, assessing their mental health needs. This is a very important task and one that needs patience, good mental strength and courage to deal with the different kinds of people. Even though a nurse has all these skills, the most important thing he/she misses is practise or experience. Starting as a new nurse this is hard to achieve. This is where CINAHL Plus comes to play. They provide knowledge on these subjects and situations which prepares the nurse for the forthcoming obstacles. It can also help in understanding the behaviour of such a patient and when to be cautious about certain things. They also provide emergency care and ideas to help cope with the patient in the best way possible.Knowing what the patients want is an important factor every nurse need to keep in mind and understanding the people is very important to make the best decision.
