Extrusion is an extension for Drawing operation.backward force for extrude object as a compressive force. Hence, Die shape and Die angle play vital role. Fluid flow of material causes friction at walls. At exit point of die, the easiness of getting product is based on Die angle.

Effects with small Die angle:

1. Extrusion load decreases with increase in die angle irrespective of ram velocity and material geometry.

2. Extrusion load increases with increase in ram velocity irrespective of die angle and material.

3. Material effect on extrusion load with respect to ram velocity is observed.

4. Surface finish is excellent in low angled dies.

5. Simulation can be effectively used for the study of extrusion process.
