I would like you to determine if there are differences between two groups in our class data. You may choose to compare men and women, short people and tall people, people who like blue and people who like green, or any other split that you wish. It doesn’t matter how you decide to split up your groups. You will then select one QUANTITATIVE variable to compare between the two groups. Please turn in the following:

1. What two groups are you comparing? What variable are you using for your comparison?

Tall vs Short. Discrete Variable

2. Use our class data to select a sample for each of your groups. Describe, in detail, how you created your sample. You should include:

a. The statistical name of your sampling method

b. Detailed description of how you created your samples

c. A list of observation numbers and actual data for each of your samples

- Create 4 different statistical descriptors of your data.

- Are your two groups different, or similar? Use the statistics you created in number 3 as a basis of your decision.

1) We are comparing two groups (Tall people and short people ). The variable used for comaprison is height of people

2) We have carried out a stratified sampling design for the members of the class based on the height

3) All people with height less than 66 inches are coming under short people and that above the height are classified tall people

4)
