I would consider the film "Paris is burning" to be an ethnographic documentary. Although it is not made by an anthropologist, it can still be used to understand certain anthropological concepts related to speech like speech acts and communities. In the movie, the drag culture, particularly drag ball culture of the States in 1980s was shown. I personally liked a scene where, Dorian, the drag dancer, explained the minute differences between the words' reading' and 'shade'. Reading is like an art of insult, but playful. Where else, shade is somewhat nonverbal, using gestures etc.
These examples can be used to better understand Bauman's speech acts and also how speech communities can be built via language.
