The pigment molecules present are chlorophyll a , chlorophyll b , chlorophyll c
These molecules absorb the photons of the light energy and helps in 3 functions ( absorption , transmission , reflection)
The chlorophyll absorbs the specific amount of the energy and transmits the electron from the ground level to excited state level
Remaining energy from photos which are high or low are reflected by the pigment molecules ( They are not absorbed)
--------> C4 plants are mesophytic plants whereas CAM plants are xerophytic plants
---------> kranz anatomy present in C4 plants whereas absent in CAM plants
---------> Both bundle sheet cells and mesophyll cells seen in C4 plants but only mesophyll cells in CAM plants
----------> 12 NADPH and 18 ATP are needed to produce glucose in C4 plants whereas 12 NADPH and 39 ATP needed for glucose production in CAM plants
