Defination: The stem cell is the undifferenciated biological cells(means a cell not assign to a perticular function) that can be converted into other cell type or can devide to produce more stem cell which produce muscle cell, nerve cell, blood cell etc.

Types:

1. Embosryonic stem cell(ES)- The cell of the inner cell mass of blastocyst.

2.Adult stem cell(Somatic)-The cells which maintain and repair tissue in adults and children.

Application of Stem cell/ Uses: The stem cells are the wide applications few of them are below

  1. The whole organ is manufacture with the help of stem cells.
  2. Stem cell is used For Alzimer or Perkinson (nerve cell disease) by regeneration of stem cell.
  3. stem cell have applied in the treatment of serious diseases for more thn 55 years.
  4. Stem cell are used to treat cancers like neuroblastoma , multiple myeloma
  5. Stem cell applies for Hematopoietic disorders like leukemia, different types of anemia.
