What is the exact point of intersection of the curves f(x)=x^5-x^3 and g(x)=sin(x), when x>0? This is for a Calculus II Maple Lab, for the volume of revolution for x>/=0 about x=pi.
This is graph of both functions
showing the point of intersection of both graphs.
Green represents, y=x^5-x^3 ; and
Violet represents, y=sin(x) ;
So Exact point of intersections are (1.228, 0.942) and (-1.228,-0.942) (correct upto 3 decimal place).
I prefer solving integration
problems theoretically, so instead of using Maple I solved it using
pen, I hope you will be satisfied with what I've done and Thanks
for asking questions. Keep asking.
