Scope:

Who does the policy apply to? Most, if not all, HR policies are applicable to all employees of the Company. You can distinguish between part-time and full-time providing your organization maintains these different statuses.

Policy Statement:

This is the main body of the policy where HR defines the actual policy and all of the provisions that make up the policy.

Responsibility:

This answers the question of who is responsible for the policy. Most often, the statement should identify that the HR Department is responsible for monitoring and enforcing the policy.

Definition:

This section would include any definitions of terms used throughout the policy that need to be. For example, if you say full-time employees, that would need to be defined.

Questions:

This section refers to whom employees turn to if they have questions pertaining to the policy. In most instances this would be the HR Department.

Reference:

This section would indicate if the policy makes reference to other policies held by the company. For example, if you referred to the Harassment Policy, you would reference (see Harassment Policy)

Effective Date:

Indicate the effective date of the policy.

Review Date:

When is the policy reviewed? This is customarily one year from the effective date.

Policy brief and Purpose - Employee Referral Program Policy explains about important aspects of company's employee referral procedure. In our company we give more importance on referrals and it is because we trust our employees and they are well aware about the company and its functions. Our company make this Employee Referral process as smooth as possible for both employees and those who they refer.

Scope - The scope of Employee Referral Program Policy is applies to everyone who refer a candidate to our company.

Policy Statement - Employee Referral Policy simply defines as a process of recruitment in which existing employee of an organization refers a candidate for an opening in an organization.

Policy Elements -

  • Employee Referral Bonus - Our company will give rewards to ever referrers. So if you know someone, who is fit for a position in our company, feel free to refer them. If your referred candidate get selection and joined our company. Then you are rewarded with $1000 as a referral bonus or else you can get non-monetary rewards like a Trip etc.
  • Rules for Reward -
  1. Reward will be paid out within a month of the date we hired a candidate.
  2. One can refer as many as candidate and reward will be paid accordingly.
  3. If the same candidate is refer by two or more employee, then in this case first referrer will be consider and reward will be paid out to that employee.
  4. Referrers will still eligible for reward if referred candidate hired for another position.
  • Who can participate in our Employee Referral Program? - All employees in our company are eligible to participate in our referral program except senior management and Recruiters, who is hiring for the position.
  • Who can be referred? -
  1. One who have not applied to our company for at least a year.
  2. One who hired as permanent full time or part time not as temporary employee.

Responsibility - HR Department will be responsible for monitoring and enforcing the policy. One can directly reach to our HR with referrals.

Definition - Some terms that are used above are defined below :-

  1. Full - time Employee - Full time employee can be defined as an employee employed on average at least 30 hours of service per week or 130 hours of service per month.
  2. Part - time Employee - Part time employee can be defined as an employee who work less than a specified number of hours during a standard work week.
  3. Temporary Employee - It is defined as an employment situation where working conditions are limited to certain period of time according to the need of the organization.

Effective Date - This policy will be effective when we have any open or vacant position in our company.

Review Date - This will review after one every open position in our company get closed.

Approval - Company Head will approves the Employee Referral Policy.
