Discussion The Five Major World Religions

VIDEO LINK=======> https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=1&v=m6dCxo7t_aE

This video discusses and gives a background of the 5 Major Religions of the World. After watching the video Please post on the following questions.

It appears that religion has been around in one form or another for most of human history. Do you think it is getting stronger, dying out, or staying about at the same level of importance? Why?

Solutions

Expert Solution

Religion is s lowly dying out. In the past, people began to believe in the existence of powers that were unknown to them from where organized religion developed as a means to answer questions that they had, to explain phenomena that they were seeing but were unable to understand. They thus began to believe that there were Gods that were controlling this, and they had no power over it. For example, when people of older times saw thunder, they naturally assumed that there was a supreme power that was creating this and this gave rise to the gods of thunder and rain that they worshipped for good weather.

People are also beginning to move more towards healthy philosophy rather that blindly following a faith. People are now capable of thinking more logically, and are thus more focused on living good and meaningful lives rather than following organized religion where there is very little actual connection with a god.
