In a leadership role, you will learn that there is an abundance of responsibilities, especially with regard to making important decisions. Decisions can be harder to make if you have a close working relationship with individuals. Place yourself in the seat of a member on the leadership team (manager, director, CEO, president, VP, etc.). Pick a scenario, from the list below, and discuss how you would go about making your decision based on your knowledge.
• Layoffs: You are challenged with a decision to layoff a team
member who has been loyal to the organization for many years and
has ultimately become your friend.
• Hiring: There are two people who qualify, for a position, in your
department. One person has years of experience while the other
person has the education.
• Sexual harassment: An employee has filed sexual harassment
against a manager, who happens to be a close confidante of
yours.
• Theft: A manager is suspected of stealing from the organization.
This manager happens to be your relative.
This is an opportunity to get creative and also showcase your
leadership skills. You may fill in the blanks however you would
like. Be specific in providing the details of the scenario you
choose. Additionally, you will need to address the process of your
thinking regarding how you would go about making your decision and
why you would choose this decision. Please use subtitles for each
section. The subtitles should be labeled as follows:

Answer - Leadership is very essential for the organisation which ensures that goals can be acomplished by leading the individuals. In leadership role , there is abundance of responsibilities and tough situations which needs quick actions and decisions. A good leader should rely on facts and conclude decisions accordingly. Following senario occured in my case and I take following decisions.
Scenario : In the organisation, an employee has filed sexual harassment against the manager. The situation is very critical and needs calm decisions. Being at senior position, I had to take care of both the persons . As the manager is good friend of mine and loyal to the organisation.
Decision : The situation is obviously not normal for the organisation and needs very calm decision. I have to analyse the situation critically as this needs justice for the organisation as well as the employee. Many ideas were coming in the mind and the situation was worst for me. Brainstorming techniques were followed and finally decision was taken . As it was tough time , with heavy heart I called the cops for investigation . It took few days for investigating the case and there are many loopholes and critical statements which are misleading the case. But the efficient officers did the great job and found the culprit . Sadly , the manger was guilty and the employee was innocent. Being at senior position, I had to hand over the manager to the cops and justice should be retained .
Position : A leader should have to be optimistic and realistic. While seeing all the evidences and arguements, the conclusion was very clear. For the sake of justice , I had to suspend the manager and handed over to the cops. After this case, the rules of the organisation needs to be strict so that this situation can never arise in the future. For the belief of humanity and justice of the innocent individuals , these critical decisions must have to be taken. These decisions can help in reducing the crime rate and punish the guilty . We as responsible citizens, should raise our voice and the voice should be too loud to alleviate crimes from our society . We should ensure justice and efforts should be made to alleviate crimes permanently. This will not harm the reputation of the organization. Rather it would be the role model for all the organisations and leaders and consequently helps in reducing crime rate.
Conclusion : For maintaing the world more beautiful and peaceful, there is need of good citizens, efficient leaders and workforce which can together contribute to the society . In tough times, some critical decisions must have to taken for maintaining the peace in society. In above mentioned case, an employee is sexually harrased by the manager. These kind of shameful acts are misleading our society and motive of retaining humanity can not be accomplished. Correct decisions should be taken at time so that it creates awareness in society regarding crimes. Strict rules and regulations must be imposed for controlling the crime rate and there is urgent need of efficient leaders who can take decisions effectively and without involving baisness. A well calculated decision which ensures justice in all respects should be taken by the leader. It not only ensures justice but also provide fame for the organization and other business houses also learn from us about how to take decisions effectively.
