Henrietta Lacks we can see this illustrated in that
women cells were taken without her knowledge or permission and used
for technological and medical purposes was this right
HeLa cells became priceless for the medical science, but her children are not able to afford the health insurance of hospitals. Tissues derived from Henrietta Lacks, who was a cancer patient, created great profits for the several companies that manufacture drugs, but her children who are still alive isn't able to afford the hospitals. Henrietta Lacks died in 1951 because of cervical cancer. She had 5 children & she was 31. After her death, her cells were taken without any permission from her family, & were used for revolutionizing drugs & medical science. Special plasma were used to mix with the cells & they were successful in growing the cancer cells in lab. After that the HeLa cells helped millions of patients around the globe as it had important part in developing polio vaccines & producing drugs for many other diseases. Even though, it is clear that all of this was done without the permission of her family, as her children revealed that they didn't know for about 20 years that her cells were used in medical science.
hope it helps.
