Abstract

The Coca-Cola Bottling Co.is the largest independent Coca-Cola bottler in the United States. The latter is not part of the former, even if the two are intricately linked.

Coca-Cola sells syrup to bottling companies that do the hard work of manufacturing and distributing the product to consumers.

The company also generates revenue from the sale of finished beverages to retailers, distributors, and wholesalers.

Since the 1990's , Coca-Cola is consolidated with lots of bottlers forming a much bigger company , Actually there used to be more bottlers like the Coca Cola bottler of Tennessee but Coke decided to buy up controlling interest of the bottlers for many reasons .

As of Nov. 2015, the company had over 900 bottling and manufacturing facilities located around the globe. Those facilities are owned by over 250 independent franchises and Coca-Cola.

For Example,including better control of retail profits but also cautious of a too powerful Coca Cola Bottling company but also things like making sure they agreed to produce new products which they technically could say - not interested or not produce as much.

However Coca Cola now owns most or controls most of the Coca Coca Bottling Company.

1) Coca Cola - represents 26% of the company's stock value

This is the flagship brand of the company, sold in virtually all countries across the globe. Even beyond the soft drink market, it is one of the most widely recognized corporate brands.

2) Diet Coke - 17%

Diet Coke is the 'sugar free' version of Coca Cola Classic and the second most widely sold soft drink for the company. It was first introduced in 1982 and remains among the most successful soft drink brands.

3) Coke Zero, Sprite Zero, Barq's & Others - 14%

This division includes smaller brands like Coke Zero, Sprite Zero, Barq's and others. The division also includes revenues from brands like Schweppes, Canada Dry, and Crush

4) Powerade & Other Brands - 14%

This division includes non-carbonated drinks like fruit juices and sports drinks.

The main brands associated with this division are:

• Powerade - A sports drink available in multiple flavors. It was first introduced in 1988 and has since aimed to gain loyalty among sports enthusiasts.
• Other Ready-to-drink beverages like Nestea.
